Janho Engelbrecht is the DA’s Caucus Chairperson and Spokesperson on the Environment.
He joined the Democratic Party in 1991and served as Potchefstroom University Branch Chair from 1993 to 1995.
In 2006 Janho was elected as a Ward Councillor. Subsequent to that, he served as a DA Proportional Cllr from 2011 to 2014 under the City Planning, Infrastructure Development, Rules and Ethics Portfolios.
Janho has been serving as an MPL for the DA Caucus in Gauteng since 2014 and has been responsible for the Economic Development, Agriculture, Rural development, Scrutiny of Subordinate Legislation and Infrastructure Development Portfolios.
He currently lives in Ceturion and has 2 boys aged 19 and 15.
